Who is this "Joel Owens" guy, anyway?

I was born in San Angelo, Texas. I've lived all over Texas, from Iraan, Del Rio, Hondo, Waco, Brownwood, Bangs, and now in the big city of Merkel near Abilene.

Here's a few other factoids:

  • I'm an Electrical Design Engineer - Nerdiest of the Nerds
  • Domesticated model of typical American male
  • My favorite people in the world call me "Sweetheart" and "Dad"!
  • My work and my hobbies all involve electronics.
  • I am a member of the Church of Christ.
  • Teach Bible class each week,
but I am the first to admit
I'm just a stumbling but forgiven Christian.
  • Am a Cub Scout Den Leader, and I love Scouting.
  • Enjoy playing Roland SPD-11 Digital Drums and my Peavey Fury electric bass.
  • Have played drums since I was age 7.
  • Love Space:1999 and Original Battlestar Galactica.
  • An original generation Trekker.
  • Knows what Soylent Green really is.
  • Have watched original Rollerball about 100 times.
  • Watch Japanese and Korean TV almost every night.
  • Am fascinated by Japanese language and culture.
  • Am pretty much a pro at audio manipulation and sound generation.
It comes in very handy at my job!
  • Use the pregnant pauses during Teresa's Soap Operas to interject my own funny ad-libs!
    [for example:]

Because my real name... is Ralphie!

  • Think that Road Runner and Wylie Coyote cartoons are the funniest inventions ever created.
  • Am prone to interrupt you if your talking isn't keeping up with my brain.
  • Spend a lot of time thinking of circuitry ideas.
  • Have the most electronic and nerdy job in the world.
  • Ohhh, yeaaahhh.

See, I'm supposedly designing something brainy and smart here. Two 20" screens, no waiting. ha
